The latest version of the Weaver Brothers Island Stages Rally will be held on Sunday 3rd November 2024.
Organised by the Isle of Wight Car Club, the rally will be based at Newport Quay with the stage running approximately three and a half miles from Kite Hill to the Downs Road via Firestone Copse and Rowlands Lane. See the map below. The stage looks technical and fast, so it will be a real test for both drivers and navigators.
Many of the rally cars and drivers that entered this year’s Sandown Sprint will be contesting this single-stage closed-road rally. It will be a great opportunity to see the cars performing in the environment that they were originally designed and built for. It’s planned that each car will compete eight times on the Island Stage during the day, returning to the Rally HQ at Newport Quay between times. The Island Stages Rally entry list. It’s expected that 60 cars will be entered for the rally.
A dedicated spectator area has been created at The Cow Shed, around the point where Firestone Copse Road has its junction with the Main Road in Havenstreet. Car parking for spectators has been arranged at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway with a shuttle bus running up to the stage. If you are thinking of spectating at the rally then you should certainly read the safety information that’s been provided by the Isle of Wight Car Club on their website. It also includes information for residents and about the road closures. These will be in place from approximately 6am to 6pm during the day.
